Silicon carbide balls are made of a hard, brittle material that offers superior wear resistance and high temperature capability. They are commonly used in severe service applications, such as valves, pumps, and bearings, where high loads, high speeds, and aggressive chemical environments are present. Silicon carbide balls also exhibit low thermal expansion and high thermal conductivity, making them ideal for use in thermal management applications.
